Why 12 pouches? That seems like a lot.
It is — and that’s the point. This size is built for two kinds of buyer: small businesses reselling it, and people buying enough to keep themselves stocked or share with family and friends. Either way, twelve pouches at $7.08 each is meaningfully better value than buying one at a time, and dulse keeps for well over a year.
How much is shipping?
It depends where in Canada you are — most orders land around $30 CAD. The exact rate is calculated from your postal code and shown at checkout before you pay, so add the box to your cart to see your cost.
Do I pay less shipping per pouch buying 12 than buying 12 singles?
Shipping in Canada is expensive no matter what you’re sending — that’s actually why we don’t sell single pouches at all. Shipping just one wouldn’t be worth it for you or for us. Bundling into a 12-pack is what makes shipping it make sense in the first place.
What does dulse actually taste like?
Salty and savoury, with a deep umami note when it’s dry. It’s a strong flavour — most people either love it immediately or take a few tries to come around. Worth knowing before you commit to twelve.
How long does it keep?
Dulse generally keeps for up to 3 years stored cool and dry — freeze it and it’ll go further still. Every package carries its own best-before date as a guide; this batch is dated June 15, 2027.
What about iodine?
Yes — dulse is a concentrated source. About 1 g daily provides roughly 150–200 mcg of iodine, in range of a typical daily requirement. Because that’s such a small amount, our dulse flakes are easier to portion than whole leaf — a level teaspoon covers it. Dulse is also naturally rich in manganese, which the body needs to help absorb iodine. If you manage a thyroid condition or are watching your iodine intake, it’s worth a word with your doctor or dietitian about what’s right for you.
That white film on your dulse (it’s not mold)

Can I return it if I don't like it?
No. This product isn’t for trying out — if you don’t already know you like dulse, this isn’t where to start. Shipping a full case back across the country costs more than the box is worth. That’s exactly why we point you to the 3-pack on Amazon first if dulse is new to you.
What if my box arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within 24 hours so we can assess the damage. If it’s confirmed, we’ll replace it or credit you.
What if a pouch is past its date or doesn't seem right?
Email us a photo of the product and the lot details within 24 hours of receipt, so we can assess it and respond. We’re a small operation and we’d rather hear about it.
Can I resell these?
Yes. Plenty of Canadian cafés, markets and health food shops stock it exactly this way. The 56 g pouch is built for a shelf — it has its own barcode, nutrition panel and best-before date. One condition: don’t list it for resale on major platforms like Amazon, where we already sell direct.
